Hot Air Balloon Ride Safety Information
Q. Are the pilots certified?
A. The owner/operator, Bob Wilamoski, has been ballooning for over 20 years, incident free.
All pilots are FAA certified, with a commercial rating for lighter-than-air with airborne heater. Our equipment is thoroughly inspected annually by certified FAA repair stations.
We are members of the Balloon Federation of America and we welcome any questions regarding safety or any other aspect of ballooning.
Q. What about insurance?
Bob's Balloon Charters, LLC, carries the insurance required for public flights and demonstrations.
Q. How does the chase crew keep up?
A. The chase crew is in radio and cell phone contact with the pilot at all times and follows the balloon while you are in flight. The same air conditioned van that took you to the launch point will be there to pick you up when you land, and you'll occasionally see it from your flight.

A safe flight is our committment.
Weather
Q. What if the weather is bad on flight day?
A. We will not launch when it's too windy, or in unstable weather conditions. If the weather does not cooperate we will reschedule at your convenience, based on space availability.
Q. Will I get motion sickness?
A. No. There is no rocking sensation as in a boat or airplane. A balloon flight is so calm, it is possible to set a glass of water on a table in a balloon and not spill a drop.
